Fundraising Committee – The committee coordinates all of the fundraising efforts of the foundation, including the development plan, working with the Marketing and Communications Committee to promote opportunities, and making sure donors are being reached. This committee crafts donor communications and works in our donor database to update donor records. In collaboration with the GPF Board and GPA staff, the Fundraising Committee is responsible for executing GPF’s annual fundraising strategy, including identifying new revenue opportunities, managing donation campaigns, cultivating sponsorships, and planning events. By designing, implementing, and overseeing strategic fundraising initiatives, cultivating donor relationships, and organizing campaigns, the committee ensures the foundation can continuously train, credential, and advocate for grant professionals nationwide.

Be A Star Taskforce – This is the annual chapter fundraising campaign. Members of this taskforce reach out to chapter leaders to promote the campaign and secure donations from GPA chapters. The Chair of this taskforce sits on the Fundraising committee.

Silent Auction Taskforce – GPF’s signature event and something everyone looks forward to at the GrantSummit. The taskforce works from June until November to secure items for the auction. Work includes reaching out to chapters, previous auction donors, and securing new donors. The Chair of this taskforce sits on the Fundraising committee.

Giving Clubs Taskforce – In 2022, GPF established 5+ and 10+ giving clubs to recognize and celebrate Grant Professionals who have 5 or 10 more years of dedicated membership in GPA. This taskforce will assist in cultivating donor engagement and assist in promoting this among members and chapters.

Scholarships Committee – This committee coordinates the membership and conference scholarship process including emailing applicants, answering questions, promoting the scholarship opportunities, and supporting the review for awards. In addition, one or more members of this committee will assist with coordinating with the scholars to arrange for time to volunteer at the GrantSummit.

Nomination and Board Development Committee – This committee works on recruiting new board members, orienting those board members, and facilitating any professional development for the board. The committee also works on governance matters.

Marketing and Communications Committee – Like to write or design? This committee is where the creative people hang out. Announce scholarships, promote the profession on International Grant Professionals Day (IGPD), spotlight GrantSummit auction items, and sharpen your Canva and content skills while you do it.
