Doesn’t that sound like the perfect break from deadlines, word counts, and logic models?

7-day Stay at Emerald Isle Beach House
This is a not-to-be-missed vacation opportunity!
Only a 2 ½-hours drive from Raleigh, this gorgeous coastline setting blends relaxation with plenty of activities. Spend the day lounging at the beach, swimming, fishing, or snorkeling. Or, enjoy wandering through funky shops and eating at unique restaurants.
Call for Auction Items
You can be a part of raising funds that keep the members of your profession in the know through scholarships for Grants Professional Certificate study, opportunities to attend our yearly conferences, and funded memberships. Please consider donating an item (or items!) with a value of $100 or more that are easy to pack or ship back home. Perhaps…
…a gift card from a signature restaurant in your town along with passes to your hometown museum
… an experience you can’t actually buy like backstage access to a TV show taping or a cool tour that isn’t open to the public.
Feel free to think out of the box!
Remember, people from across the country (and even international destinations) attend the conference. See how you can make your item the “hot-bidding” item that no one wants to miss out on!
You only have until September 30 to get your item in!

4 Ways for Grant Pros to Pay It Forward in 2015
By Micki Vandeloo, GPC
In September’s Grant Expectations blog, Micki Vandeloo, GPF Board Member, talks about all the ways you can support the grants profession without hurting your wallet! You can donate, create a scholarship, and/or volunteer. There are many ways to get involved; who knows, you might even make some great new friends and have fun!
The Grant Professionals Foundation touches the lives of people in our communities by ensuring that resources are available to train, credential and advocate for those grant professionals serving not-for-profit organizations who secure the funding necessary to serve the needs of our most vulnerable neighbors. We support the education that provides knowledge to grant professionals, the advocacy that gives them greater access to funding, and the credentialing that establishes and promotes excellence in the field. Our partners are the Grant Professionals Association which educates and advocates for grant professionals, along with the Grant Professionals Certification Institute which defines the benchmark standards of the grant profession through credentialing.
